These very well crafted pieces of Black Forest furniture are an incredible sight to see. The chairs have the entire backs carved out of one piece and these backs still looks as stunning as they did 120 years ago. Just like the rest of this set, they may even look better now, because of the patina. Especially the stunning inlaid scenes in the ebonized cartouches in both the chairs and in the table reveal the quality and finesse of the Swiss craftsmen from the late 1800s. They paint a picture of what the wildlife in the Black Forest region looked like then.
