Vintage Design
Elegant and refined pair of Italian armchairs; the strong frame is made of wood, the legs are painted black, and the seat is large, wide, and comfortable also thanks to the particular shape of the two large armrests; their design is energetic and compact. They were made between 1960 and1965 between Meda and Mariano Comense in Brianza (a prolific industrial and artisan area of Lombardy Italy) where there is a high production of designer furniture made with great craftsmanship. The armchairs have been restored and we have also upholstered them with Designer Guild’s iconic and sophisticated velvet with a “Janneret” pattern with geometric cut and interlocking lines. One of the company’s most popular fabrics. (see original Guild set photo). The entire work was handcrafted with skill and precision by an old Master craftsman from Prato (Italy). We would like to remind you that the city of Prato is considered the largest textile center in the world, its craftsmen and companies, highly specialized, are a benchmark for creativity, quality, and excellence.
