Create an elegant bar area with this complete antique “Cave à Liqueur”! Created in France, circa 1870 and shaped as a wood log cabinet, the rectangular Black Forest Tantalus is decorated on the top with delicate hand carved leaf motifs. Each side, top door and front facade is dressed with a glass panel embellished with hand painted etched floral and leaf decor. The portable tray features a complete set of 16 glass cordials decorated with floral motifs (two of them slightly different), and four matching carafes with stoppers. Each glass and bottle is beautifully decorated with hand painted engraved etching floral motifs. This entertaining essential is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. The liquor box would make wonderful addition to a man’s office of study! Lock and key included.
