Vintage Design
This rosewood desk is an interesting piece on many levels. Firstly, the desk is made of dark rosewood displaying a very high contrast of colors in the figure of the wood. For those who seek out the fanciest wood for your collection, it does not get any better. Secondly, the joinery of the drawers clearly shows that this desk is made by a cabinetmaker. However, the legs are sourced from Faarup Mobelfabrik, which is a producer of serial furniture. It was not uncommon for components to be sourced from machinists. Thirdly, in 15 years of dealing, Paere Dansk has only seen this model three times – twice in rosewood and once in teak, making it very limited in numbers.
