19th century ebonized jackwood British Colonial box on stand from British Ceylon (Modern day Sri Lanka). Two part box on Stand is made of Jackwood with ebonized elements. The base consists of turned legs and an inlaid and ebonized apron with 2 drawers. Removable box is made of solid jackwood with an ebonized border. Till inside. Brass handles, pulls and locks.
Perfect height to place between two chairs and treat as a drink table.
