Antique Mid 19th Century Federal Style Painted Wood Mantel

Antique, mid-19th century, Federal style painted wood mantel of impressive scale having paired, reeded column jambs. Beautifully detailed frieze has decorative moldings with running quatrefoil pattern, egg and dart, dentil course and modillions beneath a breakfront cornice shelf. Relief carved, sunburst ellipses motifs are seen on the corner blocks and in the central tablet. Painted antique white.
