Vintage Design
A very attractive and small, mahogany roll top desk from the 1920’s, as per the silver presentation label that reads ‘Presented to “William Hughes ESQ” By his friends and well wishers in Llandudno on his retirement from the bank July 1927’ and complete with presentation book and history. Sat on ogee bracket feet and with a double file drawer to the bottom right and blind fretwork to the upper three drawers and frieze to the top. All the solid brass drop handles are original and the slide out work surface has had a new green tooled leather well worth the trouble on such a nice piece of furniture. All the drawers are mahogany lined which automatically lock when the tambour is closed.
In good condition and ready to use and enjoy. (Splits into two pieces). Height to Worktop – 76cm = 30 inches Kneehole Height – 60cm = 23 3/4 inches Width – 42cm = 16 1/2 inches
