Mid 20th Century 5 Drawer Vintage Federal Style Mahogany Sideboard With Brass Rail Gallery

20th c., Federal style mahogany sideboard, possibly Baker, with original brass rail gallery, shaped front, inlaid stringing, and original brass drawer pulls, unmarked. While this may be considered a somewhat subdued version of a sideboard of this era, the inlay and brass accents add enough interest to make it a handsome piece.

Regency sideboards were elegant, graceful, and highly functional furniture forms, not equaled before or since.
