A very rare and collectable piece, I’ve only ever seen these with the bears on before, this must have been a custom commission and for a very important person. The eagle is removable and quite a substantial piece of sculpture alone, I would see it retailing for £2000-£3000 on the right base
This stand naturally is for hats coats and umbrellas, the all-important and original drip trays are present, the hooks are all original and solid
Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it, there will be age related patina here and there from honest use. The Stand bows a little forward, natural considering its so tall
Dimensions:
Height 222cm top to bottom, with the eagle removed 189cm, to the top of the umbrella stand 70cm
Width 108.5cm across the top, 76cm at the base
Depth 38cm
Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses
Condition:
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
