Very Large Gilt Bronze and Bohemian Blue Enameled Glass Centerpiece

This remarkable centerpiece vase is unusual not only for its extraordinary size, but for the striking vibrancy of its coloration.

The vase is comprised of a structure wrought from gilt bronze in a naturalistic manner: the legs, for instance, resemble branches, with leaves and berries interspersed. The gilt bronze structure supports a lower glass bowl and an upper glass flute, the glass of both a beautiful bright blue and enameled with pink flowers, green leaves, and ornately colored birds.

The piece is a wonderful example of Bohemian design.
