This fantastic quality Bohemian silver topped spirit decanter has a bulbous body with a slender tapering neck which is fitted with a large silver top of Continental silver marked 800 and the makers stamp HB. The decanter is made substantially from clear lead crystal and overlaid with a rich green glass which has then been beautifully cut and carved. It has panelled neck and below there is a broad band of intricate cutting in a deep polished hobnail design which is also matched on the stopper. The main body of the vessel is most impressive. It is deeply carved as a superb quality continuous display of trailing vine leaves and grapes finished with a mixture of frosted and polished detailing with a lot of fine cutting to the leaf edges. A rare and exceptional quality decanter showing great skill in its workmanship. In very good original condition. Circa 1930.
